The content of this Portugal 2010 site, the property of CTT - Correios de Portugal, S.A., hereinafter referred to as CTT, are made available to its users, hereinafter referred to as User or Client, in accordance with the following terms and conditions:

Any person who accesses the Portugal 2010 site impliedly accepts all of the terms and conditions in these General Conditions of Use.

Please read them so you can be better aware of your rights and duties as a User.

 

A – Definition of the Service
When you access the www.portugal2010.pt site you will be given information regarding Philately and collecting in general together with information regarding the World Philatelic Exhibition Portugal 2010, i.e. with regard to the dissemination of the philatelic programme dedicated to the event and the measures to promote Philately, which are targeted at young people;

With further reference to the World Philatelic Exhibition Portugal 2010, the site also provides information regarding:

  • A presentation of the exhibition: Executive committee, honour committee, organising committee and sponsors.
  • Information contents regarding the organisation of the exhibition: Location, transport and accommodation;
  • News and press releases;
  • leaflets and bulletins for download;
  • Newsletter subscription and contact forms;

The competitive aspect of the exhibition also provides information regarding regulations, exhibitors, curators and list of winners;

The thematic exhibition about the 1st Portuguese Republic to be held in the main area of the World Philatelic Exhibition, will also be publicised within the ambit of Portugal 2010.

 

B –Preconditions of the Use of the Service
The User agrees to use the service in accordance with the laws and regulations applicable to this type of service and in accordance with the Terms and Conditions stated herein

User shall be solely liable for the use he makes of the Service.

The User shall in no circumstances access the Service to:

  • commit or assist in fraudulent acts, or acts, which result in a criminal offense;
  • alter and/or attempt to alter any content of the Service;
  • send any material or message which contains computer viruses, causes any damage or designed to contaminate other computer programmes or computer data.

 

C –Liability
The User agrees that access to and navigation on the www.portugal2010.pt site, is at his/her own risk and that CTT shall not be liable for any loss or damage that may occur as a consequence of use of the Service.

If the User uses this Service to access any third party Services, he/she must first apprise him/herself of the conditions of use of the third party services in question, as the same are not included herein.

Despite the fact that every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy and quality of the information, CTT does not warrant that the information provided via the www.portugal2010.pt site, whether its own or third party information, is complete, accurate and updated.

CTT offers no guarantees as to the availability or performance of the Service. CTT is not liable for any fault in the communications network which supports the Service, or for any other fact which causes any fault, interruption or delay in any operation which the User seeks to effect, or is effecting and it shall not be liable for any loss or damage which the User may incur.

The User is expressly forbidden to copy, reproduce, distribute or create derivative works from the contents made available on the Portugal 2010 site, outside the site, without the express authorisation of CTT for that purpose.

The User shall be liable to CTT for any breach or violation of these General Conditions and for all other improper use of the information made available on the Portugal 2010 site which is directly attributable to him/her. The User shall be liable for the court fees, lawyers’ fees and administrative expenses, which CTT has to incur in legal complaints and proceedings related to the use of the Service.

 

D – Cost of the Service
Access to this Service is free of cost to the User.

The User shall be liable to pay for the telephone calls made, in order to use the Service, to the source operators of the calls.

 

E – Access to the information
Service providers may have access to the content of the messages sent and/or received by the User, with the User’s consent, in accordance with the law or pursuant to a court order or if such access is necessary for reasons of force majeure.

 

F – Use of users' data
By registering, the User authorises CTT, which manages the service, to use the personal data provided then and the information arising from the consultations and transactions effected for automatic administrative processing and statistical purposes, for the future presentation of its products and services, and to provide to third parties for direct marketing purposes, on such terms as is established by the National Data Protection Commission from time to time. Users shall, at all times, have access to their data and be entitled to rectify or delete the same in accordance with the provisions of Law 67/98, of 26th October and Law 69/98, of 28th October, and may do so via the following contact (address, e-mail).

I – Termination
If the User provides false information or misuses the Service or uses it for any purpose contrary to the law, CTT may suspend the provision of the Service without prior notice, without prejudice to such civil and criminal liability as is imputable to the User.

 

J – Applicable law and jurisdiction
This agreement is subject to the courts and law of Portugal.

The court of the Lisbon judicial district shall have exclusive jurisdiction in respect of all disputes arising from this Agreement.

 

K. Miscellaneous Provisions
CTT reserves the right to alter all or part of the contents of these Terms and Conditions, at any time.

The said alterations and/or amendments shall come into force (30) thirty days after notice thereof to the User via the Portugal 2010 site.

The General Conditions of the CTT Correios site (www.ctt.pt) shall be apply in all matters not expressly stipulated in these Conditions.
